Northwoods Adventures is proud to provide hunts in Northern Alberta, Canada - pristine wilderness rich in black bear and moose.  Our hunts include licenses, meals, accommodations, airport pickup and all in-field transportation.  Our hearty meals are served by a full-time cook.  Camps are limited to four hunters with at least one guide with every two hunters, or arrangements can be made for privately guided hunts. Our experienced, hard working guides help you have a safe, successful and enjoyable hunt.

Spring Black Bear Hunts

  All Inclusive - No Hidden Costs! 
Our Bear Base Camp is a 55 ft. camp trailer unit complete with gas heat and shower facilities. No tent camps on this Bear Hunt.  It is situated just 2 miles from the Peace River where we start out by boat on our Bear hunts. We cover up to  20 miles of river per day by 16 ft. aluminum boats.  There is no other hunting pressure. We are the only outfitter on this stretch of river. Our tree stands over bait are situated every 2 to 3 miles along the river.  Spot and stalk hunts are also available if desired. The season runs from mid-May through mid-June. The bears in our area come in various color phases, ranging from blond to chocolate brown and black. Trophy Class Bears are taken every year, ranging in skull size from 18" to 20".
(NOTE: This is a 2 bear area.  Second bears are $500.  Add 5% GST to all hunts.)

Fall Moose Hunts

This hunt is conducted from our comfortable new Hunting Lodge with hot showers and delicious meals.  Hunts also include guide service, all license fees, local transportation and game recovery.  Four & six wheel drive vehicles are used to and from camp.  

The Moose hunting season runs from mid-September through mid-October. These dates coincide with the moose calling season.  The moose range in size from 30" spread to 55" with an occasional one going to 60" or better.
