Choanoke Outfitters, hunting lodge and properties in North Carolina
in Hertford, Northhampton and Bertie Counties, offers excellent
whitetail deer hunts with Personalized Service. Our guide/guest
ratio is 1 guide for every 3 hunters. And we have 3800 acres
of prime, game managed acres with over 60 strategically located stands
for our hunters to enjoy. These stands consist of shooting
towers, and comfortable one and two man ladder stands Our geographic
locations allows us to be able place the hunter in the type of
environment that he enjoys hunting. Types of terrain include swamp
bottoms, hardwoods, pine blocks, thickets, marsh lands and various grain
fields. These terrains allow you to experience different types of
hunting experiences and shot selections.
We are very confident that if you hunt with us
you will thoroughly enjoy your hunt. We also believe that you
will truly experience the feeling of a personalized hunt instead
of the “assembly line, non-caring attitude” that many larger
scale operations display.

NC Deer Hunting
Our hunts start early in the morning after breakfast
which is provided at the lodge. In the morning our plan is to have
each hunter in their stand an hour before shooting time. We
generally pick up hunters between 9 and 11 depending on the
preference of the hunter. For evening hunts we plan on having the
hunter in their stand 3 hours before dusk. We pick up the hunters a
few minutes after shooting time has expired.
As part of our commitment to giving each hunter a personalized
hunting experience we will walk or drive each hunter to their stand
and assist them with getting into and out of their stand. The
location of some of our stands is extremely remote requiring the use
of an ATV. We provide this service for the hunter.
We gladly accommodate family hunts. Hunting parties made up of a
husband and wife, as well as father and son or father and daughter
are all welcome. For the father hunting with a youngster we have
many two man stands that can easily accommodate 2 hunters. This will
allow you to coach them on taking that first deer

We have clean, comfortable accommodations as well as
delicious meals, walk-in freezer, and best of all, great fellowship
with our hunting guests!
In order to ensure a personalized hunting experience
we limit the number of hunters to 6 – 8 per week. Each guide will be
assigned 2 to 4 hunters. This will insure that you are being dropped
off and picked up in a timely manner. Also our policy is to pick up
all hunters, return them back to the lodge for a hot meal before
retrieving any wounded game.
A testament to hunters experiencing what we are describing is 90% of
the hunters who hunted with us in 2007 have already re-booked for
the 2008 hunting season!
In addition to NC deer hunts, we also offer hunting
packages for predators that include bear, coyote, and bobcats. |
