Whitetail Deer and Turkey. Good nutrition and genetics combined with
a little age is the key to Illinois trophy whitetail bucks. Illinois is
one of the few states that can produce record book animals through the
entire state. For Pope & Young bucks per square mile, Illinois leads the
pack. Combine corn, soybean, wheat and clover fields with brushy creek
bottoms and hardwood hills and you have an archery hunters paradise. For
Pope and Young bucks per square mile, Illinois leads the pack! Our
opportunity rate at a pope and young class buck at 40 yards or less over
the last 5 years is 80%. As for
Turkey Hunting; It is not uncommon to hear up to 10 different birds on
roost on a typical morning hunt. We had a very good season last year. Last
years biggest bird was 23 pound, 10.5 inch beard with 1.5 inch spurs.

All deer and turkey hunts include clean and comfortable

into existence late into the 2004 bow season to answer the demand for
quality white-tailed deer hunts. The property is a good mixture of
hardwoods, bottom ground, hills and bedding thickets. A large creek
systems runs through the property and is heavily traveled by trophy
white-tailed bucks. The property is surrounded by rich agriculture ground
and hardwoods. 85% of our 2004 hunters had an opportunity at a hunter
estimated 150 class buck or better, inside of 20 yards at this time. Our
hunters are kept to a minimum to keep the pressure low and quality of
hunts high. If you book with four hunters you will
receive a discount and have the entire property to yourselves.

Honey Hole Hunts has a nice cabin type setting where you will not be
bothered. All kitchen appliances to prepare a full course meal are
provided, including a grill. A large fridge and freezer are also
available. Bathroom facilities and comfortable beds will prepare you for

Although we specialize in Bow hunting, we do allow a limited number of firearm
hunts. Bucks are a minimum of 130 P&Y. Each hunter is encouraged to
take a doe if they wish. We have a variety of stands and ground blinds
available to use, and you are welcome to bring your own climber, but stalking is
not permitted due to unnecessary pressure on the deer herd. Be prepared to
use a safety belt if hunting from a tree stand - safety, along with making sure
you have an enjoyable and successful hunt, are top priorities!
