Arizona Elk Hunting
The record books for Rocky Mountain elk are largely filled with
Arizona bulls. The bugle of a bull elk is something every sportsman
must hear in person to appreciate. Hunts are conducted by spot and
stalk for late season hunts in October through December and calling
bulls is the preferred method during September through early October
rut hunts for archers. Most of our hunts are conducted in November
for bulls and in October or December for the cows. This is also when
your chance of getting drawn is highest. Contrary to popular belief,
you can be drawn your first year for elk in the state of Arizona. In
fact, our Outfitter drew a tag in four out of the last five years.
Remember, at Diamond Outfitters we handle the entire application
process for you! |

Arizona Mule Deer Hunting
Arizona is home to both the Desert and Rocky
Mountain mule deer. In the central and northern half of the state, "mulies"
are hunted by spot and stalk. The north rim of the Grand Canyon is
famous for its heavy and multi-branched antlered bucks in the Kaibab
National Forest. In the southern half of our state, mule deer bucks
are glassed up in mesquite flats and juniper mountain valleys. A
300+ yard shot is not uncommon here so make sure your rifle is
sighted in accordingly.
Rifle hunters are placed in a draw in early June. Hunts take place
in October or November. Archery hunters can have a multi-species
deer hunt over the counter in December for either mule or Coues
Deer. In January javelina can be taken as well as deer for a fine
multi-species adventure. |

Arizona Coues Deer Hunting
Hunts take place October through December for gun
hunters and bow hunters can enjoy over the counter tags for both
early (August through September) and late (December through January)
season hunts. One popular way to go is a javelina/deer combo hunt in
January. |
